Julia Fidder (Rotterdam, 1997) is a Dutch curator, educator and writer based in Helsinki. She is interested in non-hierarchal ways of working and collaborating, so whether she acts from her role as curator or educator, she usually starts her projects from a facilitating role. Her goal is to create an environment that is more welcoming and inclusive to create a polyphonic society. Within her research Fidder is mainly focussing on topics regarding intersectional feminism, self-care, motherhood and soft-activism. Starting from a deeply rooted curiosity she attempts to find a multi-voiced framework to contextualise her understanding of the connections between these themes.
Currently Fidder is attending the master's programme in Visual Culture, Curating and Contemporary Art at Aalto University.
